Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.Hebrews 11:1
After Thought
If faith by definition is substance or evidence, that means it is tangible. It is not a feeling or a hope, but an action based upon what is believed to be true. Every miracle has that moment where we are asked to do what we can, and God does what we cannot. Moses could raise his staff, and God parted the Red Sea. David was willing to confront Goliath with what he had, stones and a sling shot, and God made sure the stone struck the target. In the New Testament, ten thousand were fed when a child’s lunch was given and blessed. Each time there is a small act of faith that brings about God’s supernatural response, even if that act of faith is an honest heartfelt prayer.
In a sense, this puppy is a good illustration of faith. It can wait expectantly, waiting for the one who guides to take hold of the leash and lead.~ Pastor Bob Barnett
