I am going to bring floodwaters on the earth to destroy all life under the heavens, every creature that has the breath of life in it. Everything on earth will perish.

Salvation is a gift given by God because it can never be earned by man. Like the commercial. " we've fallen and we can't get up." If we ask, He answers. If we are humble enough to cry for help, He hears.

So often we think that the coming of the Lord will be a surprise, but it shouldn't be. We are called to be alert and ready with expectation, even though we do not know the exact time. Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend.
