Matthew 19:5

Matthew 19:5

Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.

After Thought

Oneness must be continually nurtured through honest and humble communication. Always remember that God gave us two ears and one mouth that we might listen twice as much as we speak.

John 17:22

John 17:22

I pray that they will all be one, just as you and I are one--as you are in me, Father, and I am in you. And may they be in us so that the world will believe you sent me.

After Thought

Be united with other Christians. A wall with loose bricks is not good. The bricks must be cemented together.

Romans 8:15

Romans 8:15

So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God's Spirit when he adopted you as his own children. Now we call him, "Abba, Father."

After Thought

If anybody understands God’s order for his children, it’s someone who has rescued an orphan from despair, for that is what God has done for us.

God has adopted you. God sought you, found you, signed the papers and took you home.

Deuteronomy 4:9

Deuteronomy 4:9

Only be careful, and watch yourselves closely so that you do not forget the things your eyes have seen or let them fade from your heart as long as you live. Teach them to your children and to their children after them.

After Thought

If we are open and honest to our children about our victories and defeats, we give them an education at our expense and not theirs.
