Exodus 20:12

Exodus 20:12

Honor your father and mother. Then you will live a long, full life in the land the LORD your God is giving you.

After Thought

This commandment carries with it a promise of blessing for those who follow it. Because there are no perfect parents this can also be an opportunity to live the "golden rule." Do to others as you would have them do to you.

Isaiah 29:10

Isaiah 29:10

After Thought

This picture depicts the idea of a deep sleep. Sleep in itself is a good thing except when it takes place during a time when one should be alert. The sleep in Isaiah was designed by God to hinder their perception.

Hosea 11:10

Hosea 11:10

For someday the people will follow me. I, the LORD, will roar like a lion. And when I roar, my people will return trembling from the west.

After Thought

The call of God is like a lion calling to the cubs that have strayed. When they return they return in reverence and respect. He will be their guide and protection.
