Deuteronomy 28:13

Deuteronomy 28:13

If you pay attention to the commands of the LORD your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom.

After Thought

God has given us a precious promise that we don't always have to be the "under-dog." In His power we can become a "top-cat" and have victories in a world that has tribulations and trials. He will teach us to be over comers.

James 1:19-20

James 1:19-20

This you know, my beloved brethren. But everyone must be quick to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger; for the anger of man does not achieve the righteousness of God.

Psalm 30:5

Psalm 30:5

Weeping may last for the night, but a shout of joy comes in the morning.

After Thought

My dogs remind me of the promised shout of joy to come with each new day. They don't fret over yesterday and don't worry about tomorrow. They wake up excited and expectant, rejoicing in their being fed and being with us. They are sad when we must be away for work or errands, but position themselves so they can look out the window ready to rejoice at our return. Though ...

2 Corinthians 1:4

2 Corinthians 1:4

He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us.

After Thought

God often uses our pets as an avenue of continual comfort. They are always on duty and available, and in some cases tudor us as to how to comfort others. They demonstrate the power of presence.
