After Thought

Guilt causes us to want to run and hide, but God has provided the remedy for our failures through our honest confession and His loving forgiveness.

He will not let you stumble; the one who watches over you will not slumber.

After Thought

God watches over our lives in a very parental way. He knows what we need in order to grow and mature, and that character qualities like perseverance and endurance are only learned when we confront difficulty. He also knows our limitations better than we do, and will never give us more than we can handle in Him.

After Thought

The Bible describes God as the God of all comfort in 2 Corinthians 1:3-5. He knows how to calm us when we are fearful and give us a sense of peace when troubled. William Shakespeare new this when he wrote, "Now, God be praised, that to believing souls gives light in darkness, comfort in despair."
