So many times the Lord has brought healing through the therapy that our pets offer. Like the story of the Good Samaritan they bind up our wounds and get us to a better place through their unconditional love and faithful companionship.

Continue to remember those in prison as if you were together with them in prison, and those who are mistreated as if you yourselves were suffering.

For years I thought my assignment or the Church's assignment was to articulate the Gospel and nothing more. Now I believe that if we don't support the verbal expression of the Gospel with physical demonstration of compassion, we are not imitating Jesus.

Saying to those who are bound, 'Go forth,' To those who are in darkness, 'Show yourselves.' Along the roads they will feed, and their pasture will be on all bare heights.

We are called to be witnesses and to share the message of the Gospel wherever we go. It is good news of a great joy which is for all people. Simply put, through Christ there is a solution for all the pain and hurt the sins of mankind have caused.
