The Bible describes God as the God of all comfort in 2 Corinthians 1:3-5. He knows how to calm us when we are fearful and give us a sense of peace when troubled. William Shakespeare new this when he wrote, "Now, God be praised, that to believing souls gives light in darkness, comfort in despair."

All of us at times feel orphaned or at least alienated. What a blessing it is to be invited in, and it is a greater blessing if you do the inviting.
