Romans 13:1

Isaiah 40:29

Isaiah 40:29

He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.

After Thought

There are times we will feel fearful, weak, and vulnerable, but the Lord will give us strength and courage. In tenderness He heals wounded souls. It says of the Lord, "He will not crush the weakest reed or put out a flickering candle." (Matthew 12:20)

Luke 21:18

Luke 21:18

But not a hair of your head will perish.

After Thought

Jesus made it clear to His disciples that though tough times would come they could be confident that they would not perish. Yes, they could die, but their lives would not be lost.
To the Christian, death is not a period at the end of a sentence about their life that ends the statement. Death is a comma, but the sentence that represents their life continues.
