When Jesus saw him lying there and learned that he had been in this condition for a long time, he asked him, "Do you want to get well?"
Instead of this man having to get to the place of healing, the Healer came to him.

But for you who revere My name, the Sun of Righteousness will arise with healing in His wings and you will go forth and skip like calves released from the stall and leap for joy.
The Lord Jesus does not want us to waste time being bound up with the burdens of life. He takes great pleasure in seeing His children rejoice like these young calves bounding through His green pastures.

So he returned home to his father. And while he was still a long way off, his father saw him coming. Filled with love and compassion, he ran to his son, embraced him, and kissed him.
Hugs say so many things. They can say goodbye as well as hello. They can be the start or finish in the process of healing. They are given as an expression of joy as well as grief. Hugs speak more than words can say.

Continue to remember those in prison as if you were together with them in prison, and those who are mistreated as if you yourselves were suffering.
For years I thought my assignment or the Church's assignment was to articulate the Gospel and nothing more. Now I believe that if we don't support the verbal expression of the Gospel with physical demonstration of compassion, we are not imitating Jesus.
Saying to those who are bound, 'Go forth,' To those who are in darkness, 'Show yourselves.' Along the roads they will feed, and their pasture will be on all bare heights.
We are called to be witnesses and to share the message of the Gospel wherever we go. It is good news of a great joy which is for all people. Simply put, through Christ there is a solution for all the pain and hurt the sins of mankind have caused.
